This new audio plug-in format gives you better workflows and sound parity when sharing sessions between DSP-accelerated and native-based Pro Tools systems.
AAX DSP requires a Pro Tools|HDX card for processing. AAX Native can be used with any Pro Tools 10, Pro Tools HD 10, or Pro Tools Express system or software, and relies on the power from your host computer. With this new architecture, AAX opens the door to greater technology advancements in the future.
