Yleisradio Oy (YLE), Finland's national public service broadcaster, wanted to transform their business to improve programme quality and overall efficiency, and to save material and system ownership costs. To achieve this, YLE implemented METRO, their enterprise-level asset management system for all kinds of media. METRO supports and enhances radio and television production and broadcasting processes. It provides a unified and uniform platform for all media production and archiving, enables and promotes the cross-utilization of media in different organizational units, provides easy access to YLE’s media assets, speeds up the programme-making process, and increases both the productivity and the quality of journalistic work. |
