Media Archive 3.4 - What's newEnhanced Backend Functionality
- Multi-tenancy support is enhanced by additional capabilities for content based access (CBA) rules including
- restriction based object classes (e.g. Video, Audio)
- support for different access types (e.g. create/read/write/delete)
- Two-level definition of rules for easier configuration of content access restrictions
- Additional criteria, including properties of the logged on user (e.g. user name, organisation) and relative time definitions (e.g. last 7 days).
- running multiple tenants on a single Media Archive installation.
- access restrictions for content to the respective tenant only.
- defining roles inside his organisation and limit the access to content based on these roles
- providing access during a certain time period or object status.
- Attribute Fill-in: metadata entries from authorized vocabulary (e.g. legal lists) can now be entered by value rather than by reference (configurable option). This feature is helpful if you are working with metadata that might change over time but you want to keep the original value. Examples are:
- A company has been through the process of a name change. New metadata entries will use the new name, old metadata entries will remain the same.
- Someone changes his / her name after marriage. You want to refer to this person with his / her original name before his / her marriage and refer to the new name after his / her marriage.
