State of the Art Platform Support for advanced performance
The Media Archive Web based User Applications are now certified for Internet Explorer 7 and 8 under Windows XP and VISTA as well as for Safari 4.x under Mac OSX 10.5 Leopard. The Media Archive Backend services run under Windows Server 2005 and Windows Server 2008 (32 bit) which increases the overall system performance. To speed up database access Media Archive now runs with the preferred platform Microsoft SQL Server 2008 in the 32 bit and in the 64 bit mode.

Integrated end-to-end production environment
Media Archive integrates the latest version of SONY SONAPS Version 4.4 News and Sports Production System allowing archiving of SONAPS objects to Media Archive and restoring media objects from Media Archive back to SONAPS. The upgraded version of SONAPS system has been widely enhanced to support a variety of newsroom systems (NCRS) such as AP ENPS, AVID iNews and Norcom NCPower.
