DiVAN (concluded) Distributed audioVisual Archives Network: This project (ESPRIT IV project 24956) built a digital library system with facilities to effectively annotate, organize, store raw material, and access it in a coherent content-based manner on top of high-speed networks. Focus will be given on emerging standards as MPEG-4/7 for their content-based functionalities, OMG-CORBA for the interoperability issues and DAVIC compliance.
