The MediaEnvironment project is focusing on the development of a multi-media archiving, editorial and processing/editing system. This system should be able to handle audio and video data of various quality levels and provide this data for the distribution via different transmission systems (broadcast, network and data carriers).
With the help of MediaEnvironment the reuse of existing content will be facilitated.
The project consortium consists of five partners responsible for different tasks: Südwestfunk (SWF) and the Süddeutscher Rundfunk (SDR) covering the user side, Chair for Business Informatics and Operations Research (Prof. Dr. Heiner Müller-Merbach), University of Kaiserslautern as research partner and TECMATH and BFE providing technological input.
