I-Search Enhanced content-based image analysis
Image analysis systems currently available in the market are usually very slow and very limited as far as their area of application is concerned. With the support of the Federal Ministry for Education and Research (Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung (BMBF)), as well as with the collaboration with partners being experienced in the field of content-based image analysis and parallel online image processing the I-Search project aims at the development of a contents-based picture search machine with a view to the different application scenarios.
For this purpose procedures of the fast online image processing on distributed systems have to be combined with efficient algorithms and linked to data base and Internet technology.
