AuthorSteve Holyhead has practiced, consulted and taught editing and production workflow worldwide. Steve’s education began with 16mm film and he transitioned to videotape when his career in television began. In Toronto in the mid 1990s he edited his first TV series on Avid Media Composer. Steve quickly became an expert user and trainer of Media Composer and other NLEs. He is a master of synthesizing complex information into a plain-English, user-friendly learning experience. Back in London in 1999, Steve post-produced and edited “Wilfred”, pioneering one of the very first U.K. 35mm digital-intermediate (DI) projects. Through his work within the Hollywood and Burbank production communities Steve has become an expert in HD cameras, film & DI formats, file-based production, visual effects and 3D stereoscopic techniques. Steve has worked for world-class media and technology companies including Autodesk, Avid, BBC, and Discovery Studios, in addition to running his own multi-media boutique, BloomCast. |
